Paul ?Semtex? Daley is the next man in line to fight for the Strikeforce welterweight title once Nick Diaz and Evangelista ?Cyborg? Santos settle their differences this Saturday night.

At this point Daley has been assure a shot at this weekend?s winner, but rather than waiting for that bout to unfold, Daley will risk his number one status when he battles Yuya Shirai on February 26 at BAMMA 5.

Why Daley would make such a risky maneuver is questionable, but when you?ve got the fighting spirit of a guy like ?Semtex?, I suppose sitting on the shelf isn?t the ideal situation.

According to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, a loss to Shirai will certainly mean that, ?the deck gets reshuffled.? Meaning, obviously Daley will no longer be considered the number one contender to Nick Diaz?s title.

This could all be moot, as Daley may well steamroll Shirai with ease. However, if things don't unfold in Daley?s favor, he could be kicking himself in the tail for quite some time.
